Help Us Build Hope, One Box at a Time
Bruce was a shoe-stealing, full-of-love Lab Pitt mix from sunny Florida. When he arrived in Connecticut in 2013, he quickly made Fairfield County his home.
Wherever his family was, that’s where Bruce belonged- especially by the side of his dad, Eric. His favorite kids, Everett and Christopher, were his best friends and brothers. His mom, Michelle, adored him - they danced in the kitchen, played tug of war, and shared yogurt in the sunshine.
Bruce loved being outside, feeling the breeze on his face, and proudly carrying firewood as his “stick.” His soft ears and gentle heart made him unforgettable.
Though Bruce wasn’t a fan of other dogs, his family sure is! Inspired by his love and memory, they created Bruce’s Box - a way to ensure every animal has what they need to live a happy, healthy life.
When you donate to Bruce’s Box, you’re helping build secure, weatherproof outdoor donation boxes for local shelters in need. These boxes make it easier for communities to give and for shelters to receive the supplies they depend on - like food, blankets, medications and toys.
Your generosity honors the pets who’ve touched our lives and helps others find comfort, care, and love.
We will forever love and remember our sweet Brucey Boy.
